Red Red Robin

Saturday, April 27, 2024

Hey, Wonderful Team, it’s been a strange week with lots of ups and downs. What’s going on?

“The message is to remain unattached to any plans or ideas that you have been concentrating on. The world is in flux. Each of us is in flux. Who we perceive ourselves to be is in flux. Stick with the spark of the divine that you are. That is to be your focus going forward. You, and others, are like little balls of light that move throughout the galaxies as though set in motion by a pool cue. God would be the pool cue. Surrendering to this concept is no small task, we admit. Yet you might concede that the thrill is there when life is lived this way! Every once in a while, you are restacked like pool balls in the triangle only to be, once again, scattered to the hills. This sort of looks like a kaleidoscope. There is an order to the distribution but perhaps not yet grasped by you. Another analogy would be the flow of ocean waves onto and then withdrawing from the sandy beach. Seaweed, shells, mollusks, horseshoe crabs, sticks and stones are veritably moved around by the movement of the tides. Even you are moved around as you walk in the water, pulled by the tide this way and that. It takes a bit to hold your place on the ocean floor but you are never in exactly the same position that you were the moment before.

All this is to say that there is a force greater than us. You can feel victimized by this state of affairs. Or, you can embrace the adventure of not-knowing to where you will be delivered. You prefer to think that you are moving yourself, that you are in charge. At one level, this is partially true. Yet at the meta level much more is taking place. You are part of a greater movement!

This past week has felt especially like one of discombobulation. What’s up? What’s down? Who’s on third base?

Think, reconfiguration. We and our world are being reconfigured. Into who, what, how and where remains to be discovered. Our task is to hold the inner balance while we bob along as colorfully and playfully as we can. Yes, our task is to hold the inner balance while we bob along as colorfully and playfully as we can. This wonderful song by Al Jolson might just help to put a smile on your face:

Enjoy! And sing along!

Much Love to you on this day and every day going forward.

Barb and my Wonderful Team
