About Manifest Destiny

Sitting in the pristine Mary of the Angels Chapel at the Christine Center this morning, my wonderful team of advisors, with Grandmother Two Eyes in the lead, pressed for this blog. Grandmother Two Eyes has been guiding me since I went out on Vision Quest in 1991. She has been the driving force behind the crisscrossing of paths that I have traversed up, down, back and forth, diagonally and every which way across this nation. By car. Following the lines set down by the colonizers who implemented the plan of Manifest Destiny. Following the guidance of Grandmother Two Eyes.

Why is this important, you might appropriately be asking. Manifest Destiny is a centuries old belief that the United States had a divinely ordained right and duty to expand westward regardless of the Native Americans and all other species who were in the way of the settlers. The consequences and impact upon whole groups of people whose right to a sustainable way of life lived in accordance with the laws of Nature was and still is being cruelly trampled. Treaties were signed, then broken by those engaged in the conquest. The lack of respect for every living thing continues to play out in horrific ways. Waterways are polluted. The air is polluted. The actual earth is degraded. Our food is poisoned. Animals are killed for sport. Mighty forests are felled because they are in the way of development. Mother Earth is raped for minerals, oil and gas. Whole groups of people who are not white are sequestered in neighborhoods that are exposed day and night to toxic chemicals. The list of atrocities goes on and on. You get the picture.

The current president proclaimed the right to continue the policy of Manifest Destiny as soon as he took office. He seeks to conquest Greenland, Canada, the Panama Canal. He has renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. Clearly not a man of God, he nonetheless propounds the right to take anything he wants. For whom? And for what purpose? The Luciferic energy, long prophesied in the Book of Revelations for those who follow the Christian tradition, is active and on the move. We are at the fork in the road according to many different prophetic traditions. The movement of destructive energy is for each of us to behold. It seems to be unresponsive to push back, exercising a will of its own that is beyond the grasp of those who do not choose this path of conquest, planetary rape and destruction.

It is hard to look square in the eye the situation that has been created. Our precious lives are not sustainable in such an environment. No living thing can continue to live with good health and well-being in such a hostile environment.

What are we to do?

This is the test of a multitude of lifetimes. We are in big lessons. Are we going to learn to live harmoniously and in balance with the living natural world? Are we going to truly comprehend that the greatness that is God/the Divine/the Great Presence resides in every living thing-the trees, the plants, the creature beings, the rocks, the minerals, Mother Earth, and so much more?

It’s overwhelming, we understand. Do not remain in a state of shocked incapacitation, please. Power up to expand your inner light. For this is essential, especially because it’s exactly what the Luciferic energy does not want. Fear, despair, anger, depression, all are normal emotions, but we speak loudly to encourage you to move beyond because those who seek to block our light prefer that we remain in a state of distress. Claim your power! Claim your light! Make yourself a sanctuary of light! Make your homes, places of work, bastions of light! Engage with others of like inclination. Build yourself strong communities of light. We are warriors of light, peacemakers, way-showers, creators of the world that is waiting for us and our descendants. Put your vital life force energy to positive propositions. Move forward!

Here’s something to think about. Lynne McTaggart, a leader in the New Thought community, recently posted a wonderful video about the scientifically proven concept of entrainment. We do know that in a clock shop, the clocks with pendulums quickly come into aligned to and fro movement. We also know that the menstrual cycles of women who live in proximity with one another or who gather together will synchronize. Stay with me here. Lynne talks about brain entrainment and how it has been scientifically proven that human brains light up with loving thoughts even when those receiving and sending loving thoughts are not physically together. Think about this. The impact of positive loving thoughts impacts our brain, entrains love, even though we are not in the same space at the same time. What a powerful concept! The same could be said for negative thoughts. But we don’t’ really want to go down that path, do we? We already know what that looks like.

Here’s the proposal: Let’s find ways to entrain our brains to loving living, embodying health and wellness for every being, human and non-human. On Sundays, Pam Gregory, astrologer and new thought leader from the UK, is leading 15-minute meditations specifically for this purpose at 1 pm sharp, CDT (adjust for your own time zone). Put all your worries, woes and distress into a mind-created basket, then proceed to imagine the world in which you choose to live and which you choose for future generations. See, feel, taste, touch, smell, hear, sense this world. See it done. Know it’s real. Place your heart, mind and spirit in this creation. 15 minutes beginning at the top of the hour. People all over the world will be so engaged. We will be entraining, with what Lynne McTaggart calls brain contagion, something positive and magnificent. This is how Creation Creating works. Some of us, me included, have memories of such creational projects.

These are the thoughts for this day.

May you be well. May your spirit soar in the knowledge that is the time we have been waiting for. Truly, the time for which we have chosen to embody on this beautiful planet.
